    Hi
I absolutely love your YouTube tutorials. Could you please give me the link to where I can buy the vague silicone cake mould and velvet spray in a can. I’m having trouble finding it. I really enjoyed the tutorial

I want to try and make the tiger cake but I don’t see a link where I can actually print out all the ingredients to make it. Any help with this?

I am trying to make the tiger cake, also. I found the vanilla cake batter and vanilla cream recipes under recipes. I would love to find the link where is it all together. Under the ingredients for the vanilla cream, it lists to use 1 cup of butter, but on the video, Jen said to use 1/2 cup. I am very confused. I would love to print out all of the ingredients together. Please help both of us!

Hi Jenn…I tried your triple layer chocolate mousse cake. The cake came out really good with raving feedback and it won the maximum votes at my husbands bake off competition.
however I did face one issue challenging so thought of sharing that with you. When the bottom layer was baked and cooled not only did the top layer shrink but the layer shrunk on the sides too…so there was a gap between the side of the pan and the layer. When I poured the middle layers some of it seeped down so I at some places I couldnt get a clean layer, but the it was still v good. How can we avoid this?

Hi Jenn. Regarding your chocolate gingerbread house, how do you successfully melt your chocolate without scorching/burning? I don’t do well when it comes to melting chocolate. Do you use the stove and then pour into the bag, or do you put the choclate in the bag and then use the microwave at 50%? .

Hi! I microwave at 50% power, and do it in short bursts 45 seconds to 60 seconds to start, then 20-30 seconds once it has started to melt. Depending on what I’m doing, I’ll use this same technique for chocolate in a piping bag, and in a container.

Hi Jen – I want to look at your chocolate buttercream recipe, above, but when I click on it my browser goes immediately to your youtube channel. The recipe does not appear to be listed in your comments or elsewhere there. Is it embedded in the video? (If so, is that the only way to obtain it?) My 7 year old loves your cakes and watches your videos all the time — and now she has “us” trying some of your creations. . .( I don’t really have time for all of the video watching, I already know how t o make buttercream but thought I’d compare my ages old recipe to yours. :o)

I was having that same problem the other day…apparently I never made a blog post to go with the recipe. I’ve got a cookbook coming out in the next couple weeks that has it in it, but in the mean time…. Chocolate Buttercream
This is enough buttercream to ice one 9 inch (23 centimeters) round double layer cake, one 9 inch x13 inch (23 centimeters x 33 centimeters), or 18-22 cupcakes.

      Ingredients:
1 cup of butter (240 grams)
10 cups icing sugar (1 kilogram)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (15 milliliters)
⅔ cup cocoa powder (80 grams)
      6-8 tablespoons milk (90 milliliters- 120 milliliters)

      Procedure:
In the bowl of a stand mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter until fluffy.
Add half of the icing sugar and slowly continue to mix.
With the mixer on low speed, add the vanilla and half of the milk. Mix until no clumps remain.
Add the cocoa powder and the rest of the icing sugar, but do not add any more milk until the icing sugar begins to mix together more completely.
Add one or two more tablespoons of milk until desired consistency is reached. (You will want a thinner buttercream for spreading onto cakes, and a thicker one for piping flowers, or borders.)
Use immediately or store in a sealed container for 2-3 days in the fridge. If you are storing the buttercream in the fridge, allow it to come to room temperature, and remix it briefly before using.

Hi, Jenn! I really like all of your videos very much. I might take one of your recipes for holiday season baking for me and my family. I also have some of the recipes of my own, (well apparently not…) like the braided bread, cookies and absolutely the cakes. I also have a question for you… I was watching one of your videos and somehow I find that you use “fondant” but I was thinking of it was editable “play doh,” so my question for you to ask is that where can you find fondant? And yes, I’ve typed a lot because I’m in the current study of office skills. 🙂 So I will keep my eyes peeled for newer videos!

Fondant is very similar to working with play dough, but you can eat it! There are lots of brands that make it…try Satin Ice, or Wilton.
