Santa Belly Sugar Christmas Cookies

December 11, 2012 by Jenn

This has got to be the cutest cookie I have stumbled upon on Pinterest!  As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to recreate it!

For these cookies, you’re going to need to check out a couple of previous posts/videos… Sugar Cookies (one batch), Flooding and Royal Icing (coloured in red, white, black and yellow).  These videos will show you all the things you will need Sanat’s belly, and then the actual Santa Belly video will show you the procedure.

Eating the cookies is of course the best part, and the royal icing adds a bit of moisture, and chewy sugar to compliment the cookie.

Two more Royal Icing Videos are to come in this four part series (part one):

Reindeer Christmas Sugar Cookies

Christmas Tree Sugar Cookies

Happy Holidays and I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

Hi just a question, can I make the rainbow cake sheets before and freeze them?
There’s so many things to do for Christmas, then I’ll ice it on the day?
    Please advice thanks
    Kiran

I use Americolor Gel Paste to get the vibrant colours.
