Let’s just call this post “Ode to My Mother”.
My mom is the greatest lady I know. She is the most unselfish person that I know, and is somehow who would do anything for her family. She is inherently kind and thinks the best of everyone and everything! To celebrate her birthday, I wanted to make something that would showcase her beauty and greatness, so we came up with these cupcakes.
I had my dad sneak me down all the old family albums so I could go through all the pictures (which was a fabulous walk through time) and chose my favourite pictures of my mom. Paul worked his editing magic and laid them out in the photo software that he uses for edible printing.
One of the coolest things about these cupcake toppers is the image that has a QR Code on it! When my mom scanned the code, it had a very special message just for the birthday girl on it! You’ll have to watch the video to see what my message to her was!
Omg!! the more i watch your videos the more i love them! It’s so nice of you to share all this info and tutorial for free! your very creative and you have inspired me to get baking! Lol thank u sooooooo much..
Hi!! I have been researching and watching videos on edible image cupcakes and I think I love yours the best! (Actually, I’ve watched about 6 of your videos so far this morning, and I love them all!). My question is- If I don’t have a printer to print out the edible image, can I take it to a bakery? Are you familiar with any store bakeries that would be able to print edible images out?
Thank you in advance for your much-appreciated help!!!

It probably depends on where you’re from, but I know that Safeway and Dairy Queen do edible printing, but I’m not sure if they do custom printing. I’m glad you like the videos! Thanks for watching!
