How to Make Superman Cupcakes

Superman: Man of Steel comes to theatres this weekend, and these are perfect if you are headed to a party to celebrate!!  The cupcakes are super easy and can be done no matter what your skill level of cake decorating may be!   I’ve heard mixed reviews about the movie, but I’m sure if you’re die hard Superman fan, you will love it! 

How to Make Superman Cupcakes

Cupcakes that can be coloured blue, such as our vanilla cake batter, or something similar.  

Vanilla buttercream coloured yellow, such as our vanilla buttercream

Red melting wafers, or white chocolate dyed red

Piping bag

Piping tip- I use an open round Ateco tip in the video

Procedure

Prepare your cupcakes and buttercream.  You will also need to download the logo sheet, which is attached below.  The logo sheet should be placed on a baking sheet, and covered with wax paper.  Use tape to secure the edges.  After melting the chocolate/candy melts, put them into the piping bag, snip off a tiny bit of the tip and trace the red portion of the logo.  The chocolate logo’s will then need to set.  To speed this up, place them in the freezer or fridge until solid.  While you are waiting for the chocolate to solidify, pipe the yellow buttercream onto the tops of the blue cupcakes, and place the logo on top!
