These beaver cupcakes are a great idea for any Canada day celebration. For all our international viewers, the beaver is a national symbol of Canada. It’s on our nickel (5 cents) and found in many lakes building dams around our local area.
How to Make Beaver Cupcakes
You will need:
– chocolate cupcakes
– chocolate buttercream, in piping bag with Wilton 1M tip

– brown and red smarties
– candy eyes
– arrowroot biscuits (beaver’s tail)
– melted chocolate
– white gumpaste
– black edible marker
To put these together, you will need to first dip your arrowroot cookie into the melted chocolate, and allow it to harden. Then, roll out your gum paste or fondant, and allow that to harden too. Next, you will need to pipe the buttercream onto the top of the cupcake. You can do this in anyway you are most comfortable. Place the eyes, ears, nose and tail onto the cupcake using the candies, gum paste, and cookie!
Hopefully you think these are as cute as I think they are!
Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians on July 1!
