Today I am showing you how to make an ADORABLE and mesmerizing Cadbury Mini Eggs Cake. If you’ve got an eye for perfectly aligned mini eggs, this cake is for you!
Today I am showing you how to make a completely edible Chocolate Nest and filling it with Cadbury Mini Eggs! I’ve seen lots of nests made out of coconut and chow mein noodles before, but I wanted one that was more realistic looking. When scouring the grocery store, I came across vermicelli noodles, and the idea was born.
“Because sometimes a cake is just not enough.”
“Because sometimes, you want a side of candy to go with your cake.”
“Because sometimes, you just must.”
If you need any excuses as to why you are stuffing a cake full of candy, use one of the above statements.
Meet Kevin, Stuart and Bob in MINIONS, in theaters this July. I’m so excited for the movie that I took the opportunity to turn Stuart into an Easter Bunny. I’m sure he likes his costume.
Even though we’ve already made a bunch of Easter treats this year, I decided that this cake could NOT wait until next year. It is too cute to risk forgetting about in the file of “ideas” that I keep carefully organized . . . in my head . . . which is like a black hole- ideas are swallowed up, never to be seen again. Perhaps I should work on that.
When I first was practicing this cake, I could only find pink bunnies locally, so the side of the was cute, but it wasn’t as fun as it turned out to be with the multi-coloured bunny Peeps. With that said, if you can only find one colour of bunnies, just go with it. Brightly coloured marshmallows are happy no matter what colour they are!
Marbling a cake creates a beautiful effect inside the cake. In this case, the effect inside is bright, cheery and perfect for an Easter celebration, or a spring party! The neat thing about marbling is that if you change up the colours, you can customize the theme of the cake for any holiday celebration or party that you might be having.
I think this cake would be a fabulous thing to make with kids if you have any . . . borrow some if you don’t! That’s what I like to do. They could be involved in the marbling process and of course the decorating with M&M’s and Peeps!
Happy Easter!
Phewf…I didn’t get hit by a bus! I was worried I might in my previous post (Fondant Rabbit Cupcake Toppers) , and not get this Easter post out to you!
In this video we demonstrate how to make a carrot from fondant or gum paste to use as cupcake toppers. Great for decorating cupcakes over the Easter holidays!

I’ve been going back through my videos on my YouTube channel, and somehow I missed putting this one up on the blog! What the hay? How did that happen? Oh, right. I got busy, overwhelmed and crawled into a hole. BUT NOW I’M OUT and madly posting massive amounts of Easter videos for your enjoyment next weekend! I’ll try to get up the accompanying Fondant Carrot Cupcake Topper video post, but if I get hit by a bus, it’s on “The YouTube”.
