This is a recipe for peanut butter lovers only! Hello?? Pick me! Pick me! These are the most peanut-y delights that I have made. They consist of a peanut butter cake base, filled with peanut butter candies, and topped with peanut butter buttercream! Oh heavens.
Candy Nacho Cupcakes
I’m becoming obsessed with food that looks like other food- specifically cupcakes and cake that look like savory food! I even took all of our recipes that are on YouTube and made a special playlist for them. You can watch it here.
Five Nights at Freddy’s Pizza Cake (Freddy Fazbear Pizza)
If you’ve played the game Five Nights at Freddy’s, you’ll know that it takes place in a pizza parlor after hours. It’s dark in there, and it’s scary! It’s so scary that the first time I played it on my iPad, the iPad ended up being thrown across the room- from fright! I don’t recommend being as much of a chicken as I am when playing horror video games. “If you’re a chicken, why are you playing horror video games Jenn?” For research people, for research!!
Rainbow Jello Cake aka Broken Glass Cake, Stained Glass Cake
I used to make this cake with my Grandma J. when she lived with us in Cranbrook. It’s a fairly old recipe, and it’s been done many times, and has many different names. Why did I do it if it’s been done before? Because it brings back memories, and it tastes amazing!!
Rainbow Nerds Candy Cake
When I was a kid, I loved Nerds! There’s nothing much better than “retro” candies from the 80’s! Nostalgia makes everything taste better, am I right? Combining cake and the crunch of Nerds is such a novel treat!
Upside down, Backwards Cake- April Fools!
Happy April Fool’s! Now that the clock is (well) passed noon, we can finally reveal the real version of our practical joke cake! Thanks to everyone who got the joke and enjoyed watching it as much as we did! For those of you who didn’t, I’m sad for you.
Easter Candy Pinata Cake
“Because sometimes a cake is just not enough.”
“Because sometimes, you want a side of candy to go with your cake.”
“Because sometimes, you just must.”
If you need any excuses as to why you are stuffing a cake full of candy, use one of the above statements.
