Cookie Monster Smash Cake- First Birthday Cake
First birthdays are often the first time kids get to try a piece of cake, so why not give them the whole cake. . . and then let them smash it to smithereens! I made this cake for the wonderful people at Awestruck, to announce my involvement in their new show- Ultimate Birthday Cake Battle! I am the host, and the judge!
In the Ultimate Birthday Cake Battle, two moms compete head to head for a cash prize. They get only 90 minutes to decorate and assemble their cake design. They are given the theme ahead of time so they have a chance to plan their cake, but are forced to complete it under the time restriction and the cameras! You’re going to be so impressed with these moms. They are tough!
Chips Ahoy! Cookie Challenge
Today my guest host Paityn challenged me to the Chips Ahoy! Cookie Challenge. In this challenge, we have to correctly guess the flavour of the Chips Ahoy! cookie within 15 seconds, while blindfolded. The first person to guess 3 correctly is the winner! The loser has to do a chug of lemon juice…YUCK!

Rainbow Unicorn Cake
If you have a rainbow lover or someone who adores unicorns, you must make this cake for them. It’s so magically perfect.
Mini Lemon Pies with Rainbow Meringue Cookies
I love to take a traditional recipe and put a new spin on it! This is definitely the case when it comes to putting a meringue cookie on top of a mini lemon pie- in a waffle bowl! If you think I’m insane for doing this, that’s okay. You can always use the filling for a traditional lemon pie.
M&M blonde brownies Bars (Blondie Bars)
Blondies/brownies, same thing, but a different colour. It’s not rocket science, people. It’s baking science. You might have even heard of these referred to as “cookie bars”, but whatever you want to call them, call them delicious! I’ve just managed to make two corny jokes in the first two sentences, so you better just watch the video . . . or continue to read at your own expense!
This is a very versatile recipe in that you can add any ingredient into the bars that you want. If you don’t like M&M’s (what is wrong with you?), add in regular chocolate chips! If you want to stick with the “blondie” idea, add in white chocolate chunks instead. These would also be great with an addition of nuts to add a bit of crunch to them.
