I’ve found a new app that I absolutely love, and I have to tell you about it, and then make you come and join me on it! This new app is called Periscope and allows people to live stream anything and everything they’re doing throughout their lives, all around the world. I’ve done a few periscope’s so far, and I’m totally in love. I do not lead an exciting life by any means, so I keep my Periscoping to baking related events. I don’t need to show you what my rose bush looks like after I’ve finished pruning it for the season. Of course when I first heard about this app, all I thought was, “I can’t even keep up with the old apps/social media!” I tried SnapChat, but I just couldn’t get into it. Well, that’s not entirely honest. I didn’t devote enough time to trying to learn how to get into it. Periscope though, I adopted right away as I could see how beneficial it would be for me and my fans. Thanks to all of you who have joined me there already.
Today, I did a Periscope for something I’m going to call Mail Monday! I opened up the letters and presents from you guys that you’ve sent to me over the last little while.
Prior to this Periscope, I did a casual Q&A scope, which are definitely my favourite as I get to chat informally with everyone watching!! Of course the hearts are the best part, and I LOVE getting them! If you haven’t checked Periscope out yet, you “throw” hearts onto the person you’re watching’s screen. The more hearts the broadcaster has, the higher they rise in ranking. So thank you! And a special thank you to Maggie “Mangotard” for giving me 2900 hearts in my Mail Monday scope!!! Her finger was probably sore after that.
So Periscope is associated with Twitter so when you go over to Twitter to follow me CupcakeNCardio, you then will need to download the Periscope.TV app (it’s FREE). Whenever I go live and broadcast to the world, you’ll get a notification (if you have it enabled) and a tweet from me inviting you to come and watch, chat and heart with me.
All of my previous Periscopes can be see on my Katch page (it “catches”/records) the broadcasts so you can watch them passed the 24 hour limit that periscope has on the replay capabilities. If you’re watching the replay, you can still give hearts, but won’t be able to chat live. Darn.
So go get the app, and join me on this new adventure! Look forward to seeing you all there!
