Peppermint Chocolate Christmas Candy: No Bake Christmas Candies

December 2, 2013 by Jenn

Learn how to make easy Christmas candy chocolates!   This is a no bake recipe, so all you need is a microwave or a double boiler to melt the chocolate.   This is a thicker version of a traditional peppermint bark so if you’re looking for a peppermint bark recipe, you can still use this, just with thinner layers of chocolate in the mould.  If you don’t have a mould, you can follow the same procedure for the chocolate using a baking tray instead.

Peppermint Chocolate Christmas Candy

Ingredients:

• 1 lb dark chocolate
• 1 lb white chocolate
• Crushed candy canes
• Silicone mould with Christmas shapes (I used the one from Wilton)

Procedure:
Fill the bottom of the mould with desired amount of crushed candy canes.  Melt white chocolate using either the microwave or a double boiler.  Fill mould halfway with melted white chocolate.  Place in the fridge or set aside to solidify.  In the fridge this should take about 10-15 minutes.  Once set, melt dark chocolate and fill the rest of the mould.  Allow to set again.  Once set, enjoy!

Thanks so much to Colin from WoodWorkWeb for the cutting board!  Here is his video on how to make one of your own!

I am making these a day before I give them out. Do I store them in the fridge or at room temperature?

I would keep them in the fridge to be safe.
