Fighting to remove a baked cake from the sides of cake pans can be a rather annoying baking situation you may have found yourself in . . . but not anymore! Here’s a quick way to keep your cakes from sticking to your pans. All you need is wax paper and some non-stick cooking spray like Pam.
Now, I have received many questions about what to do if you don’t have any “non-stick” spray. First, I recommend that you Google Map your way to the nearest grocery store. It’s everywhere! But since many of my viewers are not in Canada/North America etc, I do understand that finding non-stick spray might prove to be more difficult than just heading to the store. If you don’t have any spray, you can use any of the following to coat your pans: oil, butter, margarine, shortening (lard), or even flour. Any of these will help the sticky situation. My go to is always a liberal amount of Pam on the entire inside surface of the pan, wax paper lining the bottom of the pan, and Pam sprayed again on top of the wax paper.
Good luck, and I hope this helps you out of a “sticky situation”. Haha!
