Tired of the same old Rice Krispies squares? If you are, we’ll show you in this video how to jazz up those Rice Krispies squares into a treat that’s interesting and delicious. This recipe is one of my favourites as it is so easy (what’s easier than Rice Krispies?) and it combines my LOVE of peanut butter and chocolate. You will need to know how to make Rice Krispie squares and if you don’t, follow my video on how to do that here.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar Ingredients:
Rice Krispies squares (see the How-To Video here)
6 Reese Pieces peanut butter cups, chopped
1 cup peanut butter
5 oz chocolate chips
The first thing that you need to do is whip yourself up a batch of rice krispies. Then, you will need to melt the peanut butter. I used the microwave, but you could also do it over a double boiler. Once the peanut butter is melted, you will mix in the chopped Reece Pieces peanut butter cups, making sure to coat them all. Next, pour this mixture on top of the rice krispies. The final step is to melt the chocolate, just as you did the peanut butter, and to cover the peanut butter layer. Put the bars into the fridge to firm up, and then slice into one inch squares. Enjoy!
Happy Baking!
