Way back in October 2012, the Cranbrook Farmers Market hosted our annual Thanksgiving Market. What made this year so special was that local teens from the band The Good Ol’ Goats played for us at the bandstand!
They are currently in CBC Radio’s Spotlight search competition! They have made it through to the top 24 in Canada, but we here in Cranbrook are pulling for them to make it right to the end!! Paul and I really LOVE them, and have their CD in both of our vehicles.
Good luck guys (and gal)!! Cranbrook is routing for you!
I guess I should tell you a bit about the market!! It was packed, as all of the town comes out to join us in the harvest festival.
I love baking for this market, as the fall flavours of pumpkin, and apple are two of my favourites.
Have a look through the other talent vendors that we share the market with!
Trish’s pies are perfect if you want to host a dinner party and have people think that you made a pie!! Not that I’ve done that or anything . . . . maybe.
Tanya’s pies are already baked for you . . . if you want a quick, ready made sweet treat! They’re delicious too! I had her plum-apple-caramel crisp and it’s delicious!
Mmmmm . . . fresh, and WARM cinnamon buns from Sharon at Fort Steele Farms!
For all chocolate lovers, trying Heavenly Chocolates is a must!! They make an Egg Nog truffle at Christmas time, and it is my favourite!
We love the Thanksgiving market, and in case you missed it, we LOVE the Good Ol’ Goats!!
I absolutely LOVE the photos from your “Cranbrook’ Community gathering (like the pie eating contest of the prior year).
The town appears to be something from a movie or tv show.
Please continue to share them!!! So interesting.
the various fruits/veggies are awesome It’s always neat to see what is popular amongst the locals.
