Towards the end of last year (2012) we had the privilege of sponsoring the Kimberley Bridal Fair, which was held on the ski hill at the Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre. Working with Meta (Events Coordinator) is always a joy as she is such a great person! She is incredibly busy, but always has time to chat and to check on how her patrons are doing. We also sponsored the St Eugene Bridal Fair this year, and I will be doing a post on that event soon as well.
Here’s me at our table 🙂
Our table centerpiece display! The cupcakes are topped with red gum paste roses, and the cutting cake is topped with a cake topper provided by The Flower Pot, a flower store in Cranbrook.
At the “royal blue” table, I did up a cutting cake in “splatter”, or “rough” finish, and The Flower Pot provided the cake topper again.
These are some of our display cakes . . . we bring them with us when we want to show off 😉
For the bridal fair, we provided some of our most popular cupcake flavours:
Pucker Up (Lemon cake with Raspberry buttercream)
Blackout (Chocolate cake with Chocolate buttercream)
Mary is my fellow caker . . . and the ONLY one I recommend people to! She is immensely talented, and the sweetest person too 🙂
Tara’s Boutique was showcasing their beautiful wedding and bridesmaid gowns. What was different about this show, is that instead of the models being on a runway, they had “stations” so an interested bride was able to walk up and talk to the model about the dress she had on. Every couple of minutes, the ladies rotated and put on new gowns.
Bridal shows are quite a unique celebration! We always love going to them and catching up with our wedding friends 🙂
