Paul and I tried out a couple of his breads, and they were great! Hopefully they will be back for more markets in Cranbrook throughout the summer months.
Andrew and his daugters run one of the most popular vendor tents, and they are Bella ‘Za Pizza! Whether you hit up the market at breakfast or lunch time, they have specialty pizza’s, made to order and baked on a pizza stone for you. We love their pizza with all the works! I also love every time Andrew’s daughter comes to help as I taught her in Grade One in my very first class. . . and she is SO grown up now! My very first class will always have an extra special place in my heart 🙂
If you’ve ever been to the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market, you may have seen Christian, from Three Crows Farm riding his bike into place and setting up. Funny thing about this market was that he rode in like normal, but sold out in around an hour, and had to peddle his bike back to the garden to harvest more! This town was aching for produce after the long winter!
Tricia, from U-Bake Perfect Pies has been a feature on my blog before () but I have to say that this time we took home a Strawberry Rhubarb pie, and it may have been the best pie I have ever had. It was perfect. Maybe I was just excited that some else had made the pie up and I was getting to enjoy not baking a dessert!?!?!?!
Our lovely friend Trina was also there selling her Miss Emily Goes to Bat children’s story. The kids in my class LOVE it and you can find it here on their website, Whimsical Publishing. Her and her illustrator Micheline Ryckman have another book already on the go and there are tonnes of activities to go with Miss Emily on the website.
Rebecca from Little Bow-Tique in Cranbrook was also there with A Little Bit of Yarm and they were selling their custom works. Rebecca and I did an event together a couple of months ago and I don’t know how she has the time to create such cute things when she has three kids!! Mothers (and Fathers) amaze me.
Stunning art from Simon Haiduk.
Jody from the Cookie Nook!
Scott Buxton and his bamboo creations.
Terry, a fellow board executive, selling her baked goods from “Home Sweet Treats”!
There’s Erna in her green apron, rushing to get to Allison’s booth (Alyson is also on the CFM Board with us).
Freshly made bannock from “The Bannock Girls”.
Meat on the grill!
This cherry juice and syrup is to die for! I’ve created a cupcake and I found the inspiration from the juice!
We are currently in the 2012 Summer Season at the Cranbrook Farmers Market, and if you’re in area, come on down and check it out each and every Saturday morning until October 6!
