It is know for it’s excellent skiing, and snowmobiling in the winter, while hiking, and fishing are popular in the summer months! Having grown up only an hour away from Fernie, we often took day trips to check out the popular shops along Fernie’s main street. It’s quaint, it’s cute and it has personality! Fernie is populated with expats from Australia who flock to the ski hills in the winter and their youthful exuberance adds a certain something to the nightlife and culture.
