We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this! Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people. We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own. Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online. It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!

If I were to win I would use the kit to practice all kinds of baking techniques. My great grandmother taught me lots of things but I still need practice if I hope to start a dessert business in her honor some day. We were so very close before she passed away and she always talked about opening a bakery. Sadly she never got to and if I can, the bakery will be named after her when it opens.

If I were to win the contest today, I would use it to make a 3 tier cake for my Boyfriend who is going into the United States Navy, to congratulate him, as well as his best friend who is also my best friends boyfriend, on Graduating from Boot Camp for the United States Marine Corps. This would be the first two tiers. The last and very top tier, would be for all four of us to celebrate all of our Mile Stones Of Graduating High School as the Class of 2014. The reason for this is because we all could not be together on the day of our graduations, you see my best friend and I each got to go to our boyfriends graduations, but they were unable to come to ours, Hers left for boot camp for the Marines 2 weeks before our graduation, and mine was getting Medically cleared to join the Navy. That is what I would do if I won today.
If I were to win on September 30th, I would use it to make my brother (the only boy I know with four older sisters) the birthday cake of his dreams on November 1st. He’d want a baseball cake with all his favorite Major League players, and just for fun I would include him! Although my family wouldn’t eat all the cake we would save it and I know he would be the happiest kid.

Congrats on hitting 500k subscribers. I live in New Zealand and Im a novice cake decorator. I love watching your fun videos. My biggest dream at the moment is to open up an online cake/cupcake shop.
If I won this contest, I would make a 4 or 5 tiered wedding cake for my parents Ruby wedding anniversary (35 years) coming up. It would be white fondant covered tiers with damaske piping covering the sides with white drapes cascading down the front of the cake with ruby red gumpaste roses attached at opposite sides of each tier. I have been planning to make this cake for the last 6 months.
I also have many people in my family. 5 of which (including myself) all have birthdays before Christmas this year so there will be cakes needed for each of them!
I would be sooooooo grateful if I won this.

Great job on the videos! When my parents got married 39 years ago they weren’t able to have an actual wedding. My four siblings and I have decided to pull all the money we have to have a vow renewal because they deserve it. I have been an amateur baker for a while now, and am now starting to venture into serious cake decorating. I recently baked a “Hobbit house” cake for my boyfriend’s 30th b’day (vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and hazelnut whipcream frosting). My next baking creation is going to be a “Minions in pool” cake which will be flavored as a Ferro Roche cake for my sister’s b’day.
I would probably use the starter kit to bake myself a 30th b’day and PhD completion cake (flavors and design tbd), along with the cakes for my various friend’s b’day’s. I am excited for my baking future 🙂 As a graduate student, baking has been a very expensive hobby, but one that I’ve enjoyed immensely!

Hi, First of all congratulation on 500 thousands subscribers. My name is Ji-Min Oh I’m 13 years old and I live in Canada but I’m Korean. Also I love baking. My mom doesn’t really like sweets and I have a huge tooth. She would always say that it was too expensive or that it’s not good for me. Back then I couldn’t even see the top of the counter. When I was about 8, my mom bought me a cake mix because I begged her. Basically she made it while I helped stirring the batter. In the end the parchment paper caught on fire and the cake batter over flowed. After that my mom would rarely buy cake mixes. that’s when I started to watch online videos and read books about baking. I tried baking simple peanut butter cookies and they turned out good. Ever since then I started to bake more and different things. I love to watch your videos and I wish I could try them out but I can’t afford the ingredients or it’s really hard to bake without a mixer. Still asking for a mixer, might take a while until I can afford one. I don’t own a lot of baking supplies. But I try my best, my family and friends try my baking. I just love it when they smile and give me a thumbs up, well my brothers criticize them. But when I wake up the next morning its all gone. If I won I would bake a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting for my family. I hope I can win, but I don’t mind if I don’t win. I just hope you keep posting new baking videos, they inspire me to bake!
