CONTEST CLOSED 500K Subscriber Contest- Baking Kit Giveaway!

August 31, 2014 by Jenn

We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this!  Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people.  We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own.  Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online.  It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!

To thank our subscribers, I went shopping on a weekend trip to Spokane.  I was in my happy place getting to buy all of these fun cake supplies!  I chose some of my favourite baking tools that I use everyday while making cakes and cupcakes.

Included in the giveaway are the following prizes:

  • Round baking pan (set of four pans)
  • Fondant roller
  • 1M icing tip
  • 24 piping bags
  • piping bag elastic ties
  • 300 cupcake liners
  • Cake spatula
  • Deluxe decorating kit (offset spatula, tips, coupler, icing bags)
  • 8 Americolor gel paste colours
  • Cake Turntable

This contest is open worldwide to subscribers of Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio’s YouTube channel.

Please leave a comment regarding what you will make first if you win this baking kit.

You must leave a valid email address and the winner will be contacted on September 30, 2014!  The winner will have 24 hours to contact us with a mailing address, or we will choose another winner.  The winner will be chosen using random draw.

If I won, that would be an awesome anniversary gift! My husband and I will be married 8 years September 30.I would recreate our wedding cake , pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing with a basket weave pattern and some beautiful fresh orange lillies. That would only be the beginning though because I’m actually making my first wedding cake for a friend this fall. I’m hoping this can be the start of a small wedding cake business.

I have always wanted to make a Halloween themed cake. My idea of it was to make it red velvet of course, and also have the outside of the cake would look like it has cuts and bruises and realistic looking blood 🙂 but I’d love to use these things for the rest of my cakes as well. Maybe even a floral cake to be simple.

Hello Jenn and Rob! Congratulations on 500k!! I am so excited for both of you! I have been watching your videos for a very long time. I still remember the day when I first watched a video of yours. Around October of last year, I asked my sister what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday. She wished for a red velvet Barbie cake. We had seen them at the store many times and I was just going to buy them. Unfortunately, they only had Barbie cakes in vanilla and and chocolate. If there’s anything about my sister, it’s her love for red velvet. There was no time to order one, for it would have taken around 5 days and her birthday was 3 days away. I had some baking experience and thought to maybe bake one myself for her and that’s how I discovered you!! When I saw your Barbie cake tutorial, I was so inspired and amazed. I didn’t have the nessecary tools for the cake, however, so my sister’s wish was not fulfilled. We ended up buying a regular square red velvet cake and she although she loved it, I knew she really wanted that Barbie cake. With these supplies, I know exactly the cake I would make!! It would be a red velvet Barbie cake, just in time for my sister’s birthday in October this year. I subscribed immediately after watching your Barbie video, and have been following you ever since. I love a atching you make amazing deserts that I dream to recreate one day!! I have baked so many goods since I started watching you and I have learned so many things. Even if I don’t win I just want you to know how much I appreciate everything you have done! You are truly an inspiration to me! Thank you so much for giving birth to my passion for baking!

I am currently looking for new ways to spice up my life and give it more meaning. I wanted to go to cooking school but i decided to go another route. If i had this kit i would enhance my baking skills. I have always wanted to make a 3 tier cake or maybe a themed cake like your candy land cake. I am always looking for different cake ideas. I would also like to try some cupcake ideas like sweet tart cupcakes or maybe even snickers cupcakes. I have many ideas i would like the ones i stated, the ideas are endless.

Congratulations on 500k subs! The first thing I would like to make if I were to win this set of supplies would be a rainbow cake. Gel food colours are not easily accessible in my area, and when I tried making the cake before with regular liquid food colours, I got lovely pastel shades of the rainbow – but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I would love to be able to bake a vibrant rainbow cake and decorate it!

    Hi Jenn,
I am a young, aspiring baker, with little money to buy the basic supplies. For the moment, im just using the old and bent up hand-me-downs from my mother. With all this new and wonderful stuff, id make all sorts if things! The first thing I would probably make is a giant cake to thank my family and friends who are supporting me in reaching my life’s goal of one day owning my own bakery. I’m hoping to get a vendors license to sell consumables where I live, so I can start early and get known, even if its just a little. Happy 500K (and growing) subscribers! 🙂

First of all I would like to thank you for having such an awesome channel, I watch your videos all the time and have inspired me to want to become a pastry chef! I would make a 3 tier vanilla tie dye cake with the dye fondant, and do white piping (with a star tip) around the bottom and top. The icing would be buttercream (which is my favorite kind). And also I would make cupcakes that match the tie dye cake with tie dye buttercream icing. Also many other things!

I would love to use the equipment to attempt to re-create your “Frozen Cake” for my sister’s upcoming 13th birthday. She loves the movie, and it’d be a really great gift for her. i am an average baker, but it’s truly my passion. I find baking therapeutic. I love to create beautiful cakes and pastries, but it gets expensive since I’m still a college student. Winning would really fuel my adventures with my oven, and I would be really thankful to you. All the best, and I can see you reaching higher milestones really soon. 🙂

    Hi Jenn 🙂
I’d probably start making videos for YouTube just like you. Baking is my passion, even though I’m only 14. I started baking like 4 years ago and I still bake something every single Friday afternoon. My family and friends enjoy my creations a lot, and not to sound selfish but I turned quite good over those past years 🙂 Though I’m really busy with school, Friday is my study-free day of the week and then baking for me is such a relaxing moment for me. Filming my creations with descriptions was always a thing I’d like to do, but unfortunately I don’t have to good stuff for it yet. Like, things that would make eventual videos a lot better and the end result too. And I absolutely love Wilton (but where I live, in the Netherlands, it’s really expensive 🙁 ) so that will be absolutely great.
Gongratz with all those subscribers, I’m one of them 🙂 Your video’s and creations are absolutely amazing. And this is a really cool winning action, I’m really happy for the lucky one who wins it 🙂
Lots of love from Marieke (yeah you won’t be able to pronounce this haha)
Oh and sorry for the long comment, just wanted to tell my story haha.

Hi ! Great giveaway ! You are very generous ! So, when I moved to France from Portugal, I was only eight. It was in 2009. Wasn’t really interested in baking then. Only got into it a few years later. But where I live I don’t have any baking stores, it’s stupid, because I had one near home, in Portugal. Anyway, I would really like to win this, it would be great to have a kit to start out. I’m allready lucky because my parents got me a few really cool pans and gadgets, and a stand mixer ! But here we don’t have those sorts of things like in America. So it would be great if I won ! With my kit, I would bake a huge party cake, wedding like, with icing decorations, different fillings, different sorts of cakes, and even surprises in it like pieces of chocolate or so… I would throw a huge party in Portugal, for all my family, I would gather ALL of them up, because I don’t get to see them very often.
That’s what I would do with my kit. It would be awesome ! 🙂

I would use this set of baking pans/tools to further my love for baking. I’m a 20 year old Massage Therapist with a passion for baking. I would of loved to make my little sister’s (9) Hawaiian themed cake with this kit but the contest ends a few days after her birthday/ party. So I would have to wait until next year to make her her cake. But until then I can still make cakes for friends and family.

Thank you. And good luck to everyone 🙂

The first thing I would make would need to incorporate all things sweet! I would make a 4 tiered chocolate cake, with multicoloured icing, using the new colourings and tins ;). I would then put a massive cookie on top and loads of cupcakes on each tier with the cupcake nozzle and paper cases! The image in my mind just makes me hungry!!! Congratulations on 500k!
