We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this! Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people. We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own. Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online. It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!
To thank our subscribers, I went shopping on a weekend trip to Spokane. I was in my happy place getting to buy all of these fun cake supplies! I chose some of my favourite baking tools that I use everyday while making cakes and cupcakes.

I find them fascinating considering they are the largest living carnivores on the planet and they’re all over Canada! Also because I believe we need to protect them rather than locking them up.
Would definately start diving into all the crazy flavors of cup cakes and cakes you never see like a chocolate / Matcha marble cake … just could finally start experimenting with sweets. My Boyfriend is into savory food but I’m more into finding new sweet flavors that sound amazing together a lot of asian flavors just spark my mind even breads with sweet fillings. For my cake i would attempt to create a 3 tiered topsy turvy cake in the theme of Alice in Wonderland (as it was mine and my mothers favourite tale). The bottom layer would be covered with pink and purple fondant stripes and 2 big fondant eyes to represent the Cheshire Cat. The middle layer would have black and red coloured icing piped into a checkered design for the check board and finally the top layer would be basic green with the mad hatters logo (10/6) created out of fondant too. To top the cake i would bake a small cupcake and pipe a simple swirl in green buttercream and decorate with a small teapot shaped cookie to represent the Mad Hatters Tea party! I hope you like my simple yet quirky idea as much as i do !

i would make a vanilla cake, and use buttercream in the colors of the rainbow, one color in each layer…to get the rainbow in every slice. i would leave it without fondant and use chocolate ganache to cover it

I love baking cakes and cupcakes which are having many different colours in batter and frosting and I love decorating them. I think the first thing I would do would be baking any cake or cupcake with the food colouring. I am searching now for a long time the Americolor Gel pastes because they have bright colours with only a few drops but they are really hard to find in Germany and the food colouring which we have in Germany is really bad 😀 because I am still going to school it only makes it harder because all the great stuff for baking is available in America or Canada or Australia but shipping it to Europe is really expensive so I will use this chance to win them. 🙂
