We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this! Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people. We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own. Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online. It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!

I know I had something to do with all of those… I was a cake decorator for a small-town bakery before I went off to college (where I am now); but whenever I go home on a break or holiday, I’m always the one to make the special desserts for the celebrations; and coming from a big, hungry, Canadian French family, that’s a lot! I love your ingenuity and can’t wait to get home for Thanksgiving to make a fall themed checkerboard cake (hopefully with the giveaway prize, as that would be the greatest thing ever to help get me started on my own). If I won this Giveaway:
Firstly, I would use all the cupcake paper cups and practice fondant flowers and chocolate trees to represent the seasons. Confect/Large sugar crystals to represent the snow, so we’d dip the chocolate trees in. Spring would be small piped buds and flowers. I think I’d have to make a parchment cone for the small details. Summer would be either using a piping tip to pipe out the green leaves in icing or use small pieces of fondant to represent the trees (or Chocolate, just for more practice handling it) And lastly, for Fall, the pieces of chocolate that would represent Autumn leaves would be: Lil swipes of chocolate mixed with different colors: Red Orange Yellow. Then we’d stick the bits of chocolate to the choco. tree.
With all these great tools, I’d love to start this year(I always start it from Sept, b/c of school) I want to go crazy in baking ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆ !!
And that fondant roller. I’ve never used one. I hope it’ll be better than my expectations. I was always skeptical about it. If I won it, It would be the first time I used a fondant roller!
Next those large circular cake pans; I would finally have a chance to make a 3tier cake for my friends birthday! And much more!

Once you subscribe to a channel, youtube doesn’t show how many subscribers they have unless you visit their about page. I just knew you were well over 500k subscribers by now!!!! People are missing out on the BEST step by step baker youtube has to offer!!! Anywho, as far as the contest goes I would make my mother a birthday cake (Nov 3 is her birthday) that she requested to be lemon flavored with green frosting, tiered with different color lollipops on each tier!! I don’t know how that’s going to happen because like I have told her before Jen hasn’t made that yet and what she hasn’t made I’m not willing to venture out and do!!! LOL!!! I have made 2 of your cakes already. The American 4th of july cake and the oreo cake, which most of my family believe was store bought because it was “perfect” in their eyes, but ok in mind since I have seen your perfection!!! 🙂 I will also be making the Candyland cake for my daugters’ 5th birthday party in December! Since I just moved in with my boyfriend and im just starting living on my own, not much to focusing on buying bake ware at the moment haha. I love to bake. Every time when my mom bake something I always wanted to do it. Love it better than cooking haha. What i would do is a gothic wedding cake with the bake ware in this contest. The cake will be red velvet and strawberry frosting, black fondant, with black and purple flower frosting over the cake. Cupcakes would be flowers as well. I would so have this cake at my wedding.
Hey Jenn! I am Timo and I come from Germany. When I sarted trying out baking and decorating I didn’t have enough “tools” to bake the cakes I saw in your videos. My first experience was the rainbow cake. It was hard to find the colours on the internet. In Germany we don’t bake cakes with colours. That’s why no supermarket offers them. Congratulations to 500000 subscribers! I don’t know why but your videos make me happy. I always speak out your first sentence of the video. I will be thrilled to get one of this kit, or any Wilton stuff because wilton is not sold in France … However i think i would make my first 3 tiers cake, that i’ve been thinking of for a long time now. I would decorate it with homemade sugar butterflies and flowers. I am currently 16 years, so i might made it for a Back to school party with friends and/or family. I would make my little sister a cake for her birthday because they never celebrate her bday because it in winter they have only bought her a piñata and cupcakes for her me my other sister . Also for my moms birthday because i know that it would mean a lot to her if i made her a cake. ALSO HAPPY 500k subscribers yay! I love your videos.
The first cake I would make would be a layer cake, with different sized layers and I would decorate it by 2 halves of down the middle. One half would be the “dark” or “evil” side, dark chocolate, with lots of different decorations to represent this, such as thorns made out of chocolate, dark flowers, and different kinds of fruit such as blackberries and blueberries. On the other half, I would do this as the “light” or “good” side, with white chocolate ganache, and white roses.
