We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this! Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people. We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own. Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online. It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!
To thank our subscribers, I went shopping on a weekend trip to Spokane. I was in my happy place getting to buy all of these fun cake supplies! I chose some of my favourite baking tools that I use everyday while making cakes and cupcakes.

I’ve been wanting to make a candy and cupcake table, for a kids themed birthday party, since the beginning of the year. I mean everything u can think of on a candy, cupcake table. Cake pops, cupcakes, cake, chocolate covered Oreos, different chocolate covered fruits…chocolate covered Rice Krispies treat sticks. Everything sounds good and I just want to rush right into the baking, but when I went to purchase all the things I would need…it was over $200. Not as bad as it sounds I guess. So far I buy things that I need, little at a time, but at the pace I’m going.. My candy and cupcake table will just be something I only want to do but actually never will. I have friends and family saying that I should and they know I can, but spending over $200 on the tools I’ll need, I can’t do all at once right now. My original plan was to make a table for a family member birthday, and if everything was a success…from there I would make more cupcakes and cake pops… And from there making business cards… And continue to grow. Baking goods is something I love to do, and if I win this contest, that would definitely be the first thing I made for someone. Hello. First of all you deserve the subscribers and more because your are so creative and inspirational. What I would bake is a tiered wedding cake, I’ve been hesitating making wedding cakes because it is a big responsibility but now I’m confident of my skills and with the right tools I’ll achieve it.

I would make a tier cake with each layer being a different flavor and colour . I would have a go at decorating the cake using the cake decorating tools. I would share it with my friends and family.

I would use the supplies to make a 4 tiered wedding cake. I’m going to keep this sweet and short because I tend to ramble a lot. If I won this contest the first thing I would make would be an ombré layered cake, perhaps in the pink shades, covered in white buttercream frosting! I’ve been imagining this cake for a long time and have planned out how I would make it and decorate it! I’ve always wanted to make a layered cake as they look so cool yet are surprisingly very simple! They really are impressing and look like a lot of fun to make 🙂
