We recently passed 500 thousand subscribers on our YouTube channel, and I am completely humbled and honoured that we accomplished this! Paul and I work alone in our kitchen, only a team of two people. We come up with ideas, film, edit, and upload the videos all on our own. Without any help along the way, we have relied on our YouTube subscribers to carry us along and become successful online. It has been an amazing journey, and my sights are set on 500K more!!
To thank our subscribers, I went shopping on a weekend trip to Spokane. I was in my happy place getting to buy all of these fun cake supplies! I chose some of my favourite baking tools that I use everyday while making cakes and cupcakes.

I’m 12 years old and when I’m older I want to be a pastry chef. I watch your videos all the time and my little sisters birthday is coming up, and I saw ur pink Zebra cake tutorial video and your candyland cake tutorial video and fell in love with them(she’s turning 4). I asked to make her cake and they said yes! Im also doing appetizers which will be, cake pop ice cream cones and rainbow cream cheese dip. First of, I am not the greatest baker out there, but I do love to bake. I’ve been baking for a couple years now and I’ve even baked for parties. I have so much fun doing it and then seeing the faces of enjoyment. It truly is a great feeling. By the way, its a very ironic thing but my birthday is on September 30th. I’m turning 19! I’m really excited. If I win I’ll obviously bake myself something to celebrate all these years. But what is most important, is that my parents 25th anniversary is so close and I really want to practice baking a wedding cake for them. It would be the greatest present I could give them.

I’m from Germany and I just started in June decorating the First time with fondant. I tried lots of your suggestions and they work so well. I have to thank you for encouraging me to try out new things and keep up with my English. I really like your clear voice. So I’d definetely bake first another rainbow cake to try the gel colours. I’d make one as part of a three storey cake as for a wedding. So the bags and turntable would be extremely useful. The fondant roller will help decorating. I so badly hope to win!!! Regards from Mary
I would make a 3 tier cake and take it with me to the local women’s shelter and help them. I already have a whole bunch of things I am donating to them and they could really use some cheering up. This would also give me some practice for when I open up my bakery next year. 🙂
