100 000 Subscriber-CONTEST CLOSED

September 27, 2013 by Jenn

UPDATE: The winner has been chosen from randomnumerator and the winner was Teresa from Surrey BC Canada!  Her prize has been sent out.

Contest

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  If we could thank each of you and shake your hand, we would.  Hopefully one day we will get to meet some of our subscribers!  Reaching the 100 000 subscriber milestone was amazing.  I had about an hour where I constantly refreshed so I could capture 99 999 and then 100 000.  It was so exciting . . . and unfortunate that I was in a meeting and I had to whisper my hooting and hollering.  Regardless, it was amazing to see happen and we are so fortunate that people take time out of their lives to watch us!

RULES:

Contest Ends October 30, 2013. We will draw and email the winner November 1, 2013!

You must comment under THIS POST ONLY on what you would like to see in a future video.

Only one comment per person will count.

The contest is open to everyone!

Random numerator will be used to find the winner.

Have fun!

    Hey Congratulations!

I would like to see more Event faced recipes, like for Christmas or Halloween… But also it would be awesome to have some “fast Food cake”, i mean like recipes you just Need a few minutes for, because often I don’t have the time to stand in the Kitchen for hours, whether I would love to, so it would be great to have a delicious but also fast-to.-bake recipe.

If you could do more of this stuff I would really appriciate it 😀

Congrats on 100,000 likes!! I’ve recently rekindled my love of baking, decorating etc and would love to see some more tutorials on the basics, especially for beginners etc. Like what tools are a must, hints on techniques, secret ingredients and your top tips. I know to some this may be boring, however there seems to be an increase of people becoming interested and taking up the hobby so something aimed at those of us that are newish to the game would be greatly appreciated. I fell in love with the first video of yours I watched and have been inspired to keep exploring, I have shared & recommended your site ever since…. love love love it!!!

hi I am 11 years old I got my youtube account when I was 6 but have been watching videos much longer. I bake every second I get a chance to. you were the inspiration of me wanting to bake. I have made many amazing types of dishes you have showed on your videos. it would be an honor to sometime go and meet you. I live in new jersey and I hope to one day go to culinary school and become the next great baker. my dream is to open my own bakery and I plan to make that goal come true. right now scool is my main focus but every time I get an a a in class my mom lets me bake something because I cant pay for the materials. if you ever get the chance to come to new jersey I would hope you could remember me and come check out the town of mendham. I don’t post videos because im not aloud until im twelve next year because that’s when im more responsible and wont give out personal information. this year has been hard for my family because of superstorm sandy and our shore house. also my great uncle is very sick. my great grandmother is right now 103 and she used to own a bakery and was known for her delicious pies. I bake with my grandma a lot too. I tought my grandma some of the skills I have learned from you. I enjoy baking but its been hard lately with probloms considering sandy. if you were to atleast consider coming out to new jersey sometime that would be awesome. im going to make a recipie website also so I can be mor like you. finding youre youtube channel was the whole reason I started baking. making tasty treats is my life now and I could never stop. one day I hope to pursue my dreams and own a bakery. I am also entering the contest since I could use some supplies. so please consider picking me as the winner or saying something about me on your channel. I love you you are the reason I do what I do.

I have just recently started watching your videos and have fallen in love. I would love to see something more military (Marine Corps birthday is in November) related maybe with some transfer of royal icing or something along those lines and maybe some different piping techniques (Not sure if you have any videos on that yet or not I’m still watching lol).

I would like to see a detailed cake covered in fondant. I bake cakes from home and I always always have atear in my fondant around the edges I ed up covering it with icing. I have watched videos about it but they go to fast and make it look simple and also make fondant decorations! I’m sure I won’t win but could you do a video anyway? Thanks for reading my comment

  40. Emily says
    October 9, 2013 at 11:46 pm

Hi Jenn! I would love to see some more tutorials on how to highlight the different techniques on how to apply detail to every cake that will be the same but add a special pizzazz to the cake the customer has requested. I’ve read numerous blogs where decorators say that ALWAYS add that same touch to every cake they make that is detailed right down to the T. Are you following me here? Ha
Thank you so much for your hard work!

I ADORE your videos. I cannot wait to try out your hints and tips especially with regard to frozen buttercream icing techniques. Just amazing!

I’d love to see you take on some vegetable based cakes. I always struggle to get enough flavour into a vegetable based cake. How about something like beetroot and chocolate or parsnip? Even courgette/zucchini. I’d love to see them transformed into delicious cupcakes with complimenting icing.

  45. Cynthia says
    October 9, 2013 at 2:35 am

O me gosh! I saw just one of your videos and fell in love! I like it so much I tryed it out myself. I did your chocolate bowls made with chocolate wafers and balloons. My little sisters where watching me when I was about to cut the first balloon then POP! I cut the balloon too far down and it destroyed the bowl. The rest of them came out fine, but my sisters wouldn’t get close to it. I’m going to do it aging on my birthday this month (Oct. 22) for a party treat. So, the thing I think you should show in a later video is chocolate cups. I mean like actual cups you drink water out of. I have an idea how to make it so if you want to know it just send me an e-mail. Congrats on 100,000 subscribers!!!!!! You’ll be at 200,000 in no time!!! 🙂

Congratulations!!!! i heard you got 100,000 subscriber from my friends. Then i was like really i did’t know that. So right after school i went home and saw this i was like awesome. i actually is still pretty young, a young adult you can say, my oven is broken i cant really bake stuff although i love to. So when i have the chance i would go to my friends house and bake there but i cant really do the designs i like so i was just asking if you can make a cakepop tutorial ( since i have a cakepop maker) really plain and simple. Just a regular cake pop with a bit of halloween details. i hope you understand what i am saying. i am not rich in decorating ideas so i want to see if you can think of something to teach your viewers about halloween!
