Be careful when you try to cut the cake, as the whole thing might come crashing down onto your plate . . . which wouldn&#8217;t really be a bad thing, now would it?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0This cake has four chocolate cake layers, all stacked with cannoli filling in between. It&#8217;s so delicious! I have previously shown a tutorial on how to make homemade cannolis (link in recipe) and if you missed it, make sure you go back and take a look. \u00a0They are time consuming but worth every second! \u00a0A cannoli shell is to be crispy, so fill the cannoli&#8217;s you&#8217;re using on the cake right before you go to serve it, and that way the will have the best chance of remaining crisp. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0794site.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-7645\" title=\"Cannoli Cake \" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0794site.jpg\" alt=\"Cannoli Cake \" width=\"601\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0794site.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0794site-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 601px) 100vw, 601px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Cannoli Cake<\/strong><\/span><br \/>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\" https:\/\/youtu.be\/bbDAJZhpvbo\" target=\"_blank\">Chocolate Cake<\/a> (8&#8243;, two layers) (also available in my cookbook)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/rjqOTM5icOE \" target=\"_blank\">Vanilla buttercream<\/a> (also available in my cookbook)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Dlk7VID8rXQ\" target=\"_blank\">Cannoli filling<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><a href=\" https:\/\/youtu.be\/UFW59OLLoDc\" target=\"_blank\">Chocolate ganache<\/a> (also available in my cookbook)<\/li>\n<li>Chocolate Chips<\/li>\n<li><a href=\" https:\/\/youtu.be\/Dlk7VID8rXQ\" target=\"_blank\">Cannolis<\/a> (regular and mini)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0744site2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-7646\" title=\"Cannolis\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0744site2.jpg\" alt=\"Cannolis\" width=\"599\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0744site2.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0744site2-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Procedure:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Level and slice 8&#8243; cakes in half, which will create four equal layers.<\/li>\n<li>Attach the first layer of cake to a cake board, securing with a swipe of buttercream.<\/li>\n<li>Using the vanilla buttercream, pipe a 1\/2&#8243; of buttercream along the outer edge of the cake to prevent the cake filling from spilling out once the layers are stacked.<\/li>\n<li>Scoop 1\/2 cup of filling into the dammed area and spread flat with an offset spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Place the next layer of cake on top and repeat buttercream dam and filling.\u00a0 Place third layer on top, and repeat.
