This is the same method you would use to make rainbow cake pops, just without the cake pop stick.\u00a0 I made these truffles as I though it would be a nice change from the cake pops.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I brought the extras to school for my students to enjoy.\u00a0 Their reactions basically were &#8220;Yummy&#8221;, &#8220;Pretty&#8221;. . . fairly run of the mill.\u00a0 I brought the rest into the staffroom figuring they would be a nice treat for a couple of adults, but little did I know I was about to get the reaction of the century from one of them!\u00a0 My lovely friend Kelley took one on her way out the door, and left.\u00a0 Somewhere between the staffroom and the exit door she took a bite . . . and we hear &#8220;OOOOOHH!!! It&#8217;s RAINBOW!!&#8221; and she comes running back in the room, &#8220;You guys, it&#8217;s RAINBOW!!&#8221; <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zgI0piNoH7c\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you want to impress the ADULTS in your life, like I managed to, here&#8217;s the recipe! <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Items used in the rainbow cake tutorial<\/strong><\/span>:<br \/>&#8211; Colored cake crumbs (see our video: http:\/\/youtu.be\/IIFvp4ud8Ng)<br \/>&#8211; Icing\/Frosting: (see our video: http:\/\/youtu.be\/rjqOTM5icOE)<br \/>&#8211; White melting chocolate <br \/>&#8211; Piping bag<br \/>&#8211; Colored Sanding Sugar<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/DSC_6278web.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4059\" title=\"Rainbow Chocolate Truffles\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/DSC_6278web.jpg\" alt=\"Rainbow Truffles\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/DSC_6278web.jpg 600w, https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/DSC_6278web-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>How to Make Rainbow Truffles:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You will need red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple cake crumbs, in 6 different bowls.\u00a0 Add a small amount of icing to each different colour and mix with your hands until you have a playdough consistency.\u00a0 Take a small amount of each colour and press each of them together to form one ball.\u00a0 Set it on parchment paper, and repeat until all of the crumbs are formed into truffles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Put the tray of truffles into the freezer for about 20-30 mins.\u00a0 In the meantime, melt your white chocolate.
