my mom before. \u00a0She is such a great sport to accompany me in my videos.<\/p>\n<p>When you are buying a present for the best mom in the world, the magnitude of choosing the perfect present can be very daunting, so instead of a present this year, I&#8217;m MAKING her a present. \u00a0Nothing says &#8220;love&#8221; like a homemade gift. \u00a0Maybe I should add a construction paper card to go with the &#8220;present&#8221;. \u00a0Oh dear. \u00a0Let&#8217;s just hope she still loves me after Mother&#8217;s Day this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eJJneVAEl4k\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Thankfully, my homemade gift is something that is totally beautiful, and I know she is going to love it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>How to Make \u00a0a Cupcake Bouquet for Mother&#8217;s Day<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>What you will need:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 6&#8243; flower pot<br \/>&#8211; 5&#8243; styrofoam ball<br \/>&#8211; Toothpicks<br \/>&#8211; 11 cupcakes<br \/>&#8211; pink buttercream<br \/>&#8211; red buttercream<br \/>&#8211; white buttercream<br \/>&#8211; green tissue paper<\/p>\n<p>You can adjust the size of the bouquet to whatever you want by altering the size of the pot and styrofoam ball. \u00a0You just need to make sure that the styrofoam ball will fit inside your flower pot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/DSC_5622site.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3895\" title=\"Cupcake Bouquet\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/DSC_5622site.jpg\" alt=\"Cupcake Bouquet\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/DSC_5622site.jpg 600w, https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/DSC_5622site-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The first thing you want to do is to secure the cupcakes to the styrofoam ball by inserting the tooth picks into it, and anchoring in the cupcakes. \u00a0I used two toothpicks per cupcake to ensure that they would stay put. \u00a0For this sized pot\/ball, you can fit seven cupcakes around the bottom, and then four on the top. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After the cupcakes are secured on the ball, they are ready to be decorated. \u00a0You want to decorate the cupcakes after they are on the ball, as you would risk ruining the icing on the top of the cupcake if you tried to put them on the toothpicks after they were iced. \u00a0 We have a couple of different tutorials in our Playlists on ways to decorate cupcakes as flowers if you need some inspiration. \u00a0Obviously, I show you three different techniques in the Bouquet video too. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After the cupcakes are iced as flowers, you will want to let the buttercream crust. \u00a0Buttercream (made with real butter) will &#8220;crust&#8221;
