It is so fabulous to be a part of the “togetherness” that comes from being part of the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market again this summer . . . and back tracking a little bit, (life is busy!) we attended an early Spring Market in Cranbrook back in May. \u00a0The neat thing about this market, was that it had a group of different vendors from the ones that are regular ones during the summer. \u00a0<\/div>\n

Paul and I hold new positions on the Board of Executives and it has given us a new appreciation for how much works it takes to put on an event such as this!\u00a0 Erna, the Market Manager, is truly an amazing woman, and she keeps everyone in check and tends to all details, no matter how small.\u00a0 Thank you, thank you Erna for all of the work that you do!\u00a0<\/div>\n

There were some new vendors trying out Cranbrook (and of course we were trying them out to!)\u00a0 Brezel Bakery (pictured below) is a new addition, and he brougth his own wood fired oven to bake bread in for eager market goers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>\n

Paul and I tried out a couple of his breads, and they were great!\u00a0 Hopefully they will be back for more markets in Cranbrook throughout the summer months.<\/p>\n

Andrew and his daugters run one of the most popular vendor tents, and they are Bella ‘Za Pizza!\u00a0 Whether you hit up the market at breakfast or lunch time, they have specialty pizza’s, made to order and baked on a pizza stone for you.\u00a0 We love their pizza with all the works!\u00a0 I also love every time Andrew’s daughter comes to help as I taught her in Grade One in my very first class. . . and she is SO grown up now!\u00a0 My very first class will always have an extra special place in my heart \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\u00a0If you’ve ever been to the Cranbrook Farmer’s Market, you may have seen Christian, from Three Crows Farm riding his bike into place and setting up.\u00a0 Funny thing about this market was that he rode in like normal, but sold out in around an hour, and had to peddle his bike back to the garden to harvest more!\u00a0 This town was aching for produce after the long winter!<\/p>\n

\u00a0Tricia, from U-Bake Perfect Pies has been a feature on my blog before () but I have to say that this time we took home a Strawberry Rhubarb pie, and it may have been the best pie I have ever had.\u00a0 It was perfect.\u00a0 Maybe I was just excited that some else had made the pie up and I was getting to enjoy not baking a dessert!?!?!?!\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0Our lovely friend Trina was also there selling her Miss Emily Goes to Bat<\/em> children’s story.\u00a0 The kids in my class LOVE it and you can find it here on their website, Whimsical Publishing<\/a>.\u00a0 Her and her illustrator Micheline Ryckman have another book already on the go and there are tonnes of activities to go with Miss Emily on the website.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Rebecca from Little Bow-Tique in Cranbrook was also there with A Little Bit of Yarm and they were selling their custom works.\u00a0 Rebecca and I did an event together a couple of months ago and I don’t know how she has the time to create such cute things when she has three kids!!\u00a0 Mothers (and Fathers) amaze me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
