\"\"<\/a>Valentine’s day has come and gone . . . once again! \u00a0And I next year, I’m taking the day off so I can focus on our orders and clients! \u00a0We are so FORTUNATE<\/span><\/strong><\/span> to have had so many people want to include us in their need to send their loved one something SWEET! \u00a0 My Fortunate Friday<\/strong> post is dedicated to all of you <3<\/p>\n

Now, onto the new cakes from Valentine’s Day! \u00a0As much as I would love to save them and show them to you in a new post February 14, 2013, there is no way that I will remember to do so! \u00a0Besides, I can always repost next year, when everyone will be in a mad rush to find the perfect cake to make for their SWEETheart!<\/p>\n

This heart shaped “Be Mine” cake, is all buttercream baby! \u00a0Real 100% fatting butter. \u00a0No one should ever have to settle for an impostor such as shortening? \u00a0Yuck! \u00a0It pains me to even say the word! \u00a0The first step for this cake was to bake a chocolate cake in the heart shaped cake pan (very handy this time of year!), and then I dyed the buttercream a beautiful red colour! \u00a0There will be more information on dying buttercream in a upcoming post. \u00a0The feedback I got from this cake was hilarious . . . It was sooooo delicious and he had no idea how much his wife paid for the it (the cake) but it was worth it! \u00a0Always great to hear when making cakes in a small town such as Cranbrook \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/p>\n

This cake was also a heart shaped cake (obviously!) but this one was red velvet with cream cheese icing, and wrapped in red fondant. \u00a0The accented white hearts are also cut out from fondant. \u00a0<\/p>\n
