YUCK! \u00a0Since I&#8217;ve been concentrating on the <strong>Cookies<\/strong> and <strong>Cupcakes<\/strong> but not the <strong>Cardio<\/strong>, I find myself carrying a few too many pounds. \u00a0My\u00a0<strong>too-tight pants<\/strong> don&#8217;t lie&#8230;neither does the jiggle, jiggle when my stomach hangs over the waistband!!! \u00a0Am I grossing you out yet?<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Don&#8217;t you teach spinning?&#8221;<\/strong> you ask? \u00a0Well, yes, but as you might have discovered yourself, your body becomes accustomed to doing a regular activity. \u00a0I may <strong>spin 3-4 times a week<\/strong>, which sounds like a lot, but my body is used to that exercise, so it pretty much just goes through the motions. \u00a0It gets bored! \u00a0Of course you can start to push yourself even further and harder&#8230;.and that is the change that you need to make if you have reached this plateau. \u00a0Try something new&#8230;try your same activity at a new pace, with new resistance. \u00a0I decided that for me to kick my body back into<strong> muscle building, fat losing mode<\/strong>, I would start <strong>running<\/strong> again.<\/p>\n<p>I packed my gym stuff this morning (so I wouldn&#8217;t have a reason to come home and find the couch) and headed to the gym after school today. \u00a0 Here is how I started:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #d87093;\">Treadmill<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #d87093;\"> (speed changes\/intervals&#8230;incline is flat)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>0-4 mins walking from 3.0-4.0 (speed)<\/p>\n<p>5 min &#8211; Running at 5.0<\/p>\n<p>6 min &#8211; 5.3<\/p>\n<p>7 min &#8211; 5.6<\/p>\n<p>8 min &#8211; 6.0<\/p>\n<p>9 min &#8211; Walking 4.0<\/p>\n<p>10 min &#8211; Running 5.0<\/p>\n<p>Etc.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat this cycle 3 more times&#8230;your last walk should start at minute 25.<\/p>\n<p>It, sadly, was difficult for me. \u00a0I used to do these sets between 6.5-8.0&#8230;..and I am <strong>determined<\/strong> to get there again. \u00a0If nothing else, I have to do it so I have something to blog about. \u00a0 It hurts in the moment, but boy does it feel good when it&#8217;s over.<\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_target addtoany_list\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a class=\"a2a_button_facebook_like addtoany_special_service\" data-href=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=193\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_twitter_tweet addtoany_special_service\" data-count=\"none\" data-url=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=193\" data-text=\"Hitting the Treadmill\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_google_plusone addtoany_special_service\" data-annotation=\"none\" data-href=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=193\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_pinterest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/add_to\/pinterest?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcookiescupcakesandcardio.co%2F%3Fp%3D193&amp;linkname=Hitting%20the%20Treadmill\" title=\"Pinterest\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/icons\/pinterest.png\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Pinterest\"\/><\/a><a class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\" href=\"http:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share_save\"><img src=\"https:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nwpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I decided today that I needed to start running again.
