Rocher &#038; Nutella Cupcakes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>I&#8217;m going to have to start out by saying that I have never really been a Nutella fan.\u00a0 Until we made these cupcakes, I really never understood what the fuss was about.\u00a0 I&#8217;d rather eat a peanut than a hazelnut.\u00a0 I&#8217;d rather have peanut butter and jam, than chocolate and hazelnuts.\u00a0 It was never in our house growing up as a kid, so I don&#8217;t think I ever really knew about it.\u00a0 But, when an Italian family becomes your family, you learn quickly about all things Italian.\u00a0 One of those things is hazelnut flavoured everything!\u00a0 I think I first tried a Ferraro Rocher at Paul&#8217;s mom&#8217;s house, and <em>meh<\/em>, didn&#8217;t really care for it.\u00a0 Apparently it had to be baked inside of a cupcake for me to really like it!\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>As far as Nutella went, I could never understand why bloggers were posting about it, drooling over it and giving it love I didn&#8217;t think it deserved.\u00a0 UNTIL I made this buttercream.\u00a0 This Nutella buttercream may be the absolute best thing I have ever tasted.\u00a0 No lie.\u00a0 It is rich, creamy and oozes smooth buttercream flavour.\u00a0 The hazelnut-chocolate taste is perfectly complimented by the sweetness of the sugar and saltiness of the butter.\u00a0 O.M.G.\u00a0 That&#8217;s how good it is.\u00a0 Good enough to talk in capitals.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>The buttercream is one of those tastes that just the smallest amount will send you face first into the bowl.\u00a0 If you have strong willpower, I guarantee that it will be tested with this cupcake.\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" Rocher Cupcakes with Nutella Buttercream<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>-this recipe will make around 24 cupcakes<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Cupcake Ingredients:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>1 1\/2 cups all purpose flour (180g)<\/div>\n<div>1 1\/2 cups granulated sugar (300g)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder (~75g)<\/div>\n<div>1 1\/2 teaspoons baking powder (~8mL)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 teaspoon baking soda (~3mL)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 teaspoon salt (~3mL)<\/div>\n<div>3 tablespoons vegetable oil (45mL)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 cup buttermilk (180mL)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 cup warm water (180mL)<\/div>\n<div>2 eggs<\/div>\n<div>1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5mL)<\/div>\n<div>24 Ferraro Rochers\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Procedure<\/strong>:<\/div>\n<div>Preheat oven to 350F\/170C. \u00a0Using a stand mixer, combine all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt) and mix. \u00a0Turn mixer to low and add eggs, vanilla, oil, water and buttermilk. \u00a0Mix until combined. \u00a0Line muffin\/cupcake pan with liners and place a tablespoon of batter in the bottom of the well. \u00a0Place a Ferraro Rocher in the center, and top with another tablespoon of batter. \u00a0Repeat until all wells are filled and bake for 20 minutes. (200g)<\/div>\n<div>3\/4 cup Nutella (180mL)<\/div>\n<div>3-4 Tablespoons heavy cream or milk (45mL)<\/div>\n<div>2 teaspoons vanilla extract (10mL)<\/div>\n<div>chopped hazelnuts for decorating<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/DSC_1360blog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4768\"
