Macarons with a Nutella Filling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Macarons have been on my baking bucket list for forever!\u00a0 They are something that as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to learn how to make them.\u00a0 So about a year ago, I decided I would try.\u00a0 I NEVER fail at baking.\u00a0 Ever.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve failed at decorating many times, but the actual baking process has always been successful for me.<\/p>\n<p>I failed at making macarons.\u00a0 THREE times.\u00a0 THREE!\u00a0 How can an experienced baker, FAIL at something so little and cute?\u00a0 It has to be easy.\u00a0 Well, after experimenting with recipes three (did I mention that) different times, I finally found one that worked!\u00a0 On the first try.<\/p>\n<p>So as a gift to you, I am sharing it!\u00a0 Happy medium;\"><strong>Chocolate Macarons<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 3\/4 cup ground almonds <br \/>\u2022 1 cup icing sugar<br \/>\u2022 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa<br \/>\u2022 2 extra large egg whites<br \/>\u2022 1\/4 cup granulated sugar<br \/>\u2022 Hazelnut spread for filling (Nutella)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_8863blog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4274\" title=\"Chocolate Macarons with a Nutella Filling\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/DSC_8863blog.jpg\" alt=\"Chocolate Macarons with a Nutella Filling\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Procedure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a food processor, place the almonds, icing sugar and cocoa.\u00a0 Mix for 15 seconds and then sift mixture into a large bowl. \u00a0<br \/>Place the egg whites in a stand mixer and whip until soft peaks form.\u00a0 Gradually add the sugar and continue whipping until a glossy meringue forms.\u00a0<br \/>Using a spatula, fold 1\/3 of the almond mixture into the egg mixture.\u00a0 Repeat until all of the almond mixture is combined with the egg mixture.\u00a0<br \/>Put the batter into a piping bag fitted with a 1\/2&#8243; round opening and pipe small circles onto a parchment lined baking tray.\u00a0 Tap tray on counter to remove any air bubbles.\u00a0 Allow to sit at room temperature for 30 mins.\u00a0 Then, insert into preheated 325F oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.\u00a0<br \/>Allow to cool on pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack to finish.\u00a0 When cool, spread hazelnut filling onto half and place another half on top!\u00a0 Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><a 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Things to Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you&#8217;re making macarons, be sure to use EXACT measurements and make sure that
