\u00a0I&#8217;ve seen them a couple of times in Kindergarten so far too, so I know they&#8217;re making their way through everything. \u00a0I can&#8217;t claim to have watched the &#8220;new&#8221; movie, but I did watch the first one on a field trip sleepover last June. \u00a0When you don&#8217;t have kids of your own, you have to rely on the moments you have with your borrowed children to watch kid movies!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been asked for Despicable Me cupcakes for a while . . . and asked . . . and asked, so I hope you all have enjoyed this tutorial, and if you haven&#8217;t seen it yet, learn how to make these cute minion cupcakes.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e6izE9xTBgs?list=UUg-YSRB6TsIq-c5PUZ0F1Jg\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Items used to make Minion Cupcakes\/Despicable Me Cupcakes:<br \/>\u2022 cupcakes (your choice of flavour)<br \/>\u2022 brown, black, yellow and white fondant<br \/>\u2022 rolling pin<br \/>\u2022 fondant cutter<br \/>\u2022 2 small paint brushes<br \/>\u2022 back gel paste<br \/>\u2022 silver airbrush color<br \/>\u2022 2&#8243; round cutter<br \/>\u2022 Wilton 4b and 12 tips<br \/>\u2022 white buttercream (buttercream video: http:\/\/youtu.be\/rjqOTM5icOE)<\/p>\n<p>To make the cupcakes, I started with the yellow round face portion.\u00a0 To do this, I rolled and cut out a circle of fondant and then set it aside to dry\/harden.\u00a0 While that was happening, I cut out the goggles for the eyes from white fondant\/gum paste, and then painted it silver with the airbrush color.\u00a0 I let those dry as the paint will smear.\u00a0 When the goggles had dried, I applied a small amount of water to the back of them and then positioned the goggles onto small, flat white rounded fondant, which acted as the white of the eyes.\u00a0 For the pupils and the eye, cut out a small round piece of brown, and a smaller piece of black for the finished eyes.\u00a0 Once the goggle\/eye is finished, apply a small amount of water to the back, and apply it to the yellow face round portion.\u00a0 After the goggles are in place, next apply the black band of the goggles, add small pieces of black fondant for hair, and using a paint brush and black gel paste, apply a mouth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Allow your Minion cupcake topper to dry before adding the buttercream to the cupcakes.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/DSC_7730blog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4191\" title=\"Despicable me cupcakes\" src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/DSC_7730blog.jpg\" alt=\"Minion cupcakes\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/DSC_7730blog.jpg 600w, http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/DSC_7730blog-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"addtoany_share_save_container\"><div class=\"a2a_kit a2a_target addtoany_list\" id=\"wpa2a_1\"><a class=\"a2a_button_facebook_like addtoany_special_service\" data-href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=4140\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_twitter_tweet addtoany_special_service\" data-count=\"none\" data-url=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=4140\" data-text=\"Despicable Me Cupcakes \/ Minion Cupcakes\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_google_plusone addtoany_special_service\" data-annotation=\"none\" data-href=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/?p=4140\"><\/a><a class=\"a2a_button_pinterest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/add_to\/pinterest?linkurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcookiescupcakesandcardio.co%2F%3Fp%3D4140&amp;linkname=Despicable%20Me%20Cupcakes%20%2F%20Minion%20Cupcakes\" title=\"Pinterest\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/icons\/pinterest.png\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Pinterest\"\/><\/a><a class=\"a2a_dd addtoany_share_save\" href=\"http:\/\/www.addtoany.com\/share_save\"><img src=\"http:\/\/cookiescupcakesandcardio.co\/wp-content\/plugins\/add-to-any\/share_save_171_16.png\" width=\"171\" height=\"16\" alt=\"Share\"\/><\/a><\/div>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\nwpa2a.script_load();\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These little Minion guys are super popular and seem to be around everything!
