<\/a><\/p>\nThis recipe has been ripping around the blogosphere, and I had to jump on the bandwagon. \u00a0How could I not?! \u00a0Combining two of the baking world’s greatest things into one huge treat is a MUST do!<\/p>\n
I have to say, this particular chocolate chip cookie recipe has just the right amount of salt in it. This “sandwich” (aka glutinous delight) has that perfect sweet and salty<\/strong><\/span> aura to it. \u00a0If you are a sweet and salty lover like myself, you will LOVE this recipe.<\/p>\n I wanted to make something unique for my Cakery’s<\/a> table at the local Farmers Market<\/strong> for last weekend. \u00a0A new cupcake table had been set up (in MY spot I have to add), so I wanted to have something unique to sell. \u00a0My cupcakes have the glam<\/strong> factor to them that makes them the best cupcakes around, but sometimes, you need something novel to bring the people in!<\/p>\n These cookies definitely did the trick. \u00a0I had one sliced in half, so people could see them from the aisle, and I can’t tell you how many times I heard “Is that a-? \u00a0Oh! \u00a0It IS an Oreo!” <\/em> We sold out of these babies.<\/p>\n The original recipe for this delight comes from the Picky Palate<\/a>, and if you haven’t been there before, go there now. \u00a0NO, WAIT! \u00a0Go when you’re done reading (and commenting) here first!<\/p>\n Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n (from Picky Palate<\/a>)<\/p>\n As usual, start by creaming together butter<\/strong> and sugars<\/strong> . . . ode to the Kitchen Aid<\/strong>. \u00a0Let’s take a moment . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . \u00a0oh, how I love thee.<\/p>\n Next, mix in the eggs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n And the vanilla<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Then the dry stuff . . . yes, that is my near empty container of flour. \u00a0Man does this job use a lot of flour and sugar! \u00a0I’m forever buying it . . . and there is a thin layering of white sugar\/flour dust on every single instrument in the kitchen!<\/p>\n Add in the chocolate chips<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Using a cookie scoop, arrange one ball, per cookie.<\/p>\n Next, place an Oreo on top of the original cookie dough ball, and then place another on top of the Oreo.<\/p>\n Gently squeeze the dough together and attach around the whole Oreo. \u00a0It’s actually simpler than it sounds.<\/p>\n They should look something like these gigantic balls of delicious cookie dough!<\/p>\n Fresh from the oven . . . I figure it’s all in the name of product research . . . I can’t sell something that I haven’t tried, right?<\/p>\n
